Nuknik Nattnicha and Kanyarat open up after the Thai women's volleyball team defeated Vietnam.
Nuknik Nattnicha is thrilled as the Thai women's volleyball team delivered a sharp performance to beat Vietnam and claim the SEA V Cup 2026 title.
“Bow” Kanyarat proudly said she finally broke free after putting pressure on herself in the first two matches.
Following the Thai women's national volleyball team's 3-0 set victory over Vietnam with scores 25-18, 25-17, 25-14, they secured the championship of the SEA V Cup 2026 first week.
“Nuknik” Nattnicha Jaisan, captain of the Thai women's volleyball team and Best Setter award winner, stated, “I must say everyone truly came together in this game. Everyone was determined to perform their roles to the best of their ability. The team maintained excellent serving and blocking throughout, whether in attack or defense. Everyone did very well.”
“In the first two games, we still had some inconsistencies, but today we played quite smoothly as we had practiced and planned.”
“Next week, we will be at the Chiang Mai venue. Please come out and support us a lot. We will give our all and definitely aim to keep winning.”
Meanwhile, “Bow” Kanyarat Khunmuang said, “Honestly, I admit that on the first and second days I couldn’t perform as I had practiced. I felt I was putting too much pressure on myself and was trying too hard to meet the coach’s expectations.”
“But today, I felt more liberated. I tried to play as close to my practice as possible, and I did well. I’m very proud of myself for unlocking my potential today.”
“Thank you to everyone who kept supporting and standing by me. I don’t know what else to say except I’m grateful to myself for enduring and working so hard in training. I trained intensely, and everything I aimed to do was for myself. Thanks again to everyone around me for their constant encouragement.”
The Thai women's national volleyball team will compete in the SEA V Cup 2026 second week from 7–9 August 2026 at the 700th Anniversary Sports Complex in Chiang Mai province.
