The Thai women's volleyball team has received important good news ahead of competing in the SEA V CUP 2026 Leg 2 in Chiang Mai.
On 4 August 2026, the Thai women's national volleyball team traveled to Chiang Mai to compete in the BYD DMI 6th SEA V CUP 2026 Leg 2, following their first-leg championship win in Vietnam, where they won all three matches last week.
Additionally, the Thai women's volleyball team received the latest good news when BumBim Chatchu-on Moksri, the team's main middle blocker, arrived in Chiang Mai with her teammates after recovering from a shoulder injury that required several months of rest and treatment.
Previously, BumBim Chatchu-on Moksri was included in the initial 30-player roster called up for training in April ahead of the 2026 Volleyball Nations League (VNL), but due to injury, she has not played in any of the three tournaments since June.
However, at the SEA V CUP 2026 Leg 2, BumBim Chatchu-on Moksri is expected to return and assist the Thai women's volleyball team again. Their goal, besides defending the home championship, is to prepare for the Asian Women's Volleyball Championship in mid-August, where the champion will automatically qualify for the 2028 Olympics.
The latest update on the Thai women's volleyball team shows they worked out in the gym today to build strength after arriving in Chiang Mai, followed by spa treatments for recovery. Tomorrow, they will begin training sessions at the venue.
