Clear goals: Thaddao reveals two objectives for Thailand women's volleyball in SEA V CUP 2026 Leg 2
On 5 August 2026, Nan Thaddao Nukjaeng, a key outside hitter for the Thailand women's national volleyball team, gave an interview ahead of the BYD DMI 6th SEA V CUP 2026 Leg 2 in Chiang Mai, following their championship win in the first leg in Vietnam, where they won all three matches last week.
Nan Thaddao said the goal for Thailand's women's volleyball team is to defend their SEA V CUP title on home soil while also preparing for the 2026 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship from 21-30 August in Tianjin, China, where the champion will earn automatic qualification for the 2028 Olympics.
Nan Thaddao stated, "Our main goal is to defend the championship in this next leg, and importantly, to prepare the team for the Asian Championship in China."
"Since actual practice time together is quite limited, we also need to prepare on site. In this tournament, players may be rotated, but primarily we want to keep our team system intact without disruption."
Regarding the enthusiastic support from Thai women's volleyball fans eagerly awaiting to cheer in Chiang Mai, Nan Thaddao said, "I love Chiang Mai (laughs). When we played there before, the response was excellent."
"Tickets sold out quickly once released. It feels like the fans are very interested. As an athlete, I feel proud that everyone keeps supporting us continuously and never abandons us. We warmly invite everyone to come cheer at the venue."
