Pimpichaya wants two things before the Thai women's volleyball team defends their SEA V Cup 2026 Leg 2 title.
On 5 August 2026 GMT+7, Beam Pimpichaya Gokram, a key setter for the Thailand women's national volleyball team, spoke after the first practice session at Gymnasium 1, 700th Anniversary Sports Complex, ahead of the BYD DMI 6th SEA V CUP 2026 Leg 2 competition in Chiang Mai province.
Beam Pimpichaya Gokram is preparing to return to the Thai women's volleyball team after resting during SEA V CUP 2026 Leg 1 in Vietnam, where mostly young players were used. The team defeated Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam to win the championship.
Beam Pimpichaya praised the new generation of Thai women's volleyball players for meeting expectations but personally wants two things: to maintain her own playing standards and to encourage the younger players to play more as a team, acting as a bridge to improve communication within the team, which was lacking in Leg 1.
Beam Pimpichaya said, “I watched all three matches. There were still some shortcomings in the first two days, but the third day was quite good.”
“If I get the chance to play, I will give my best, maintain my standards, and do my utmost. If I play alongside the younger players, I will try to encourage them even more.”
“I felt that during the first leg, the team lacked some cohesiveness and didn’t communicate as much as needed. This time, if I play with the younger players, I will try to talk to them more.”
