Coach Aot reveals two reasons why Chatchu-on is included in Thailand women's volleyball team for SEA V Cup 2026 Leg 2 in Chiang Mai.
On 7 August 2026, Coach Aot Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai, head coach of the Thailand women's national volleyball team, disclosed two reasons for including BumBim Chatchu-on Mokksri, recently recovered from a shoulder injury after nearly six months, among the 14 players competing in the 6th SEA V Cup 2026 Leg 2 from 7-9 August 2026 in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Coach Aot spoke about BumBim Chatchu-on's return to the Thailand women's volleyball team, saying, "We have waited a long time for her. She has been through rehabilitation, treatment, and recovery—she has been very determined."
"Injuries are part of a program. It's not just the physical injury; the mental aspect matters too, as well as recovery and training. Returning requires great patience from everyone, not just BumBim."
The two reasons for including BumBim Chatchu-on in the SEA V Cup 2026 Leg 2 roster are that she has recovered at the right time, so the team wants her to have time to readjust her playing rhythm and to prepare her potential for the Asian Championship 2026 from 21-30 August in China, where the champion will earn automatic qualification for the 2028 Olympics.
- "She is currently adjusting her timing because she has been away from competitive play for several months. It takes some time, and we decided to let BumBim gain match experience because timing is crucial."
- "We believe BumBim has strong potential that will be valuable in the upcoming Asian Championship in a few days. That is our expectation."
