Live volleyball result: Thailand women's volleyball team easily defeats Vietnam to claim the SEA V CUP 2026 Leg 2 championship.

On 9 August 2026, in the final match of the 6th SEA V Cup 2026 Leg 2 held in Chiang Mai province, the Thailand women's national volleyball team faced Vietnam. In the first leg last week, the Thai team won 3-0 sets on the road in Hanoi.

The starting six players for Thailand in this match were Pornpann Kerdprasert (team captain), Thaddao Nukjaeng, Sasipaporn Jantawisut, Pimphicha Kokram, Chatchu-on Moksri, and Kaewkanya Kamultala, with Kalyarat Khamwong serving as the libero.

In their first two matches, Thailand defeated Indonesia and the Philippines without losing a set, earning a full 6 points. Meanwhile, Vietnam lost to Indonesia 2-3 sets in their opener and to the Philippines 1-3 sets, accumulating just 1 point.

In the first set, the Thai women's volleyball players maintained a consistent lead over Vietnam, at one point pulling ahead by 7 points, before closing the set 25-20 to take a 1-0 lead.

In the second set, Thailand’s performance improved further, while Vietnam struggled to adjust. Thailand extended their lead to as much as 15 points, ultimately winning the set 25-10 to go up 2-0.

Thailand maintained their momentum in the third set, continuously scoring against Vietnam before closing out the match with a 3-0 set victory, scores 25-20, 25-10, and 25-15.

The Thailand women's volleyball team secured the SEA V Cup 2026 Leg 2 title with three straight wins without dropping a set, collecting a full 9 points. This victory builds confidence ahead of the Asian Championship from 21-30 August in China, where the champion will earn automatic qualification for the 2028 Olympics.
