Following the Thai women's national volleyball team's 3-0 set victory over Vietnam with scores of 25-20, 25-10, and 25-15, they secured the championship of the BYD DMI 6th SEA V CUP 2026 "CV Cup 2026" second leg at Gymnasium 1, 700th Anniversary Stadium, Chiang Mai.
"Aomsin" Sasipaporn Janthawisut, a star player of the Thai national team who performed excellently to earn the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award, said, "I'm happy and want to thank my teammates who helped. I dedicate this award to everyone."

Next, the Thai women's volleyball team will compete in the major event, the 2026 AVC Women's Volleyball Continental Championship, held from 21–30 August in Tianjin, China. The defending champion Thailand is in Group B alongside Kazakhstan, Indonesia, and Australia.
In this tournament, the champion will earn a spot in the 2028 Olympic Games, while the teams finishing first to third will qualify for the 2027 World Championship.
