Orn-uma speaks candidly ahead of the Thai women's volleyball team competing in the 2026 Asian Championship.
Orn-uma Sitthirak, assistant head coach of the Thai women's national volleyball team, believes this is the best chance for the Thai women to secure a ticket to the 2028 Olympics by winning the 2026 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship in China from 21-30 August 2026.
Orn-uma said, “The Olympics is not an easy event that anyone can easily reach. I think it's a tough competition, but I believe this year is a good opportunity. If we win the Asian Championship, we will qualify.”
“From my experience, there hasn't been a competition where winning the Asian Championship directly qualifies you for the Olympics. I want the players to give their all. This year, we have the best chance.”
