"Coach Ott" reveals the latest readiness of Chatchu-on and Ajcharaporn ahead of the Thailand women's volleyball team competing in Asia 2026.
On 19 August 2026, Coach Ott Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai, head coach of the Thailand women's national volleyball team, updated on preparations for the 2026 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship from 21 to 30 August in Tianjin, People's Republic of China.
The goal for Thailand's women's volleyball team is to win this tournament, which grants automatic qualification to the 2028 Olympics. Coach Ott Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai has already led the team through their second training session, focusing on team systems and enhancing physical fitness to sustain performance throughout the competition.
Coach Ott stated, "This evening's practice focused on techniques and team systems. We aimed for everyone to play cohesively, understanding how the system operates in both defense and offense. The players have been quick to learn, adapt, and work towards successful execution."
"Regarding climate, food, and time, the differences are minor — only about one hour time difference. We have adjusted physical conditions and checked for any injuries or illnesses. Currently, everyone is in good health, and training management is going well."
"The physical therapy and medical teams have provided excellent support. Our conditioning team focuses on ensuring players have the physical capacity to compete comfortably over long matches, including enduring full five-set games."
"Everyone is confident in their strong physical condition. With good health, mental state improves along with confidence in technique and tactics, which is progressing well for all players."
"Bum-Bim has improved significantly, synchronizing better with the team and setters. Pure is similarly much improved."
"I believe everyone is dedicated and focused. We want this commitment to energize and empower them to succeed. All coaching staff are fully supporting the athletes."
