Still Unsatisfied: Sasipaporn Reveals 2 Issues Thai Womens Volleyball Must Fix After First Win at 2026 Asian Championship

Still unsatisfied, Sasipaporn reveals two issues the Thai women's volleyball team must fix after their first win at the 2026 Asian Championship.

On 21 August 2026, Omsin Sasipaporn Chanthawisut, the key middle blocker of the Thai women's national volleyball team, gave an interview after the first Group B match of the 2026 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship held in Tianjin, People's Republic of China.

The Thai women's volleyball team started as planned, beating Australia easily 3-0 sets (25-15, 25-15, 25-18), securing their first 3 points in the hunt for the 2026 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship title, which includes qualification for the 2028 Olympics.

However, Omsin Sasipaporn Chanthawisut admitted she was still not satisfied overall, highlighting two points needing improvement: individual errors and first-ball reception. She said, "In the first and second sets, everyone played well, but in the third set, we began to have individual errors."

"Our performance in our roles was still not good enough, and we made quite a few unforced errors, but fortunately, we managed to quickly pull the game back."

"Personally, I am not very satisfied because our backcourt reception was still lacking, and the first ball sometimes missed the target. We still have time to practice tomorrow, so we will fix these errors to prepare for upcoming matches."

"Finally, I would like to ask fans at home to please send us your support. We will do our best in our duties."

In their second Group B match, the Thai women's volleyball team will face Indonesia, ranked 57th in the world, on Monday, 24 August 2026, at 14:00 Thailand time.
