
Coach Ot has arrived with the latest update on Thaddao's condition and predicts Thailand women's volleyball team's opponent in the Asian Championship quarterfinals.
On 26 August 2026, the Volleyball Association of Thailand revealed the latest developments concerning the Thailand women's national volleyball team after advancing to the quarterfinals of the 2026 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship in Tianjin, People's Republic of China.
The Thailand women's volleyball team, having secured the Group B championship yesterday, continues their training to maintain physical condition and game rhythm. Coach Ot Kiattipong Ratchakriangkrai, the head coach, is focusing on blocking techniques and team systems.
Regarding Nan Thaddao Nukjaeng, the key fast attacker who did not play in the third group stage match where Thailand defeated Kazakhstan 3-1 due to injury, Coach Ot revealed she is still not ready to return to the court. Although the team doctor believes she has a chance to recover in time for the knockout rounds since the injury is not severe.
Therefore, Nan Thaddao Nukjaeng may continue resting during the quarterfinals, where Thailand is highly likely to face South Korea. However, the official opponent will be confirmed after the final Group A match between China and Chinese Taipei concludes, to finalize rankings before the quarterfinals scheduled for 27-28 August.
