Live volleyball update: The Thai women's volleyball team defeated South Korea to advance to the semifinals of the 2026 Asian Championship.

In the first match, the Thailand women's national volleyball team, ranked 17th worldwide and Group B champions (3 matches, 3 wins, 9 points), faced South Korea, ranked 28th and Group C runners-up (3 matches, 2 wins, 1 loss, 6 points).
Thailand started with six players: captain Pornpan Geodpradit, Kaewkalaya Kamulthala, Chatchu-on Moksri, Sasipaporn Janthawisut, Thaddao Nukjaeng, and Pimphaya Kokram, with Piyanuch Paennoi as libero.
Thailand’s team, boosted by Thaddao Nukjaeng’s return from injury as a starter, played excellently, scoring through various attacks including middle hits, quick sets near the net, and combination plays, while South Korea struggled with blocking and consistency.
The match ended with Thailand beating South Korea 3-0 sets, 25-20, 25-18, and 25-21, becoming the first team to reach the semifinals of the 2026 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship, awaiting the winner between Japan and Chinese Taipei.
