On 31 August 2026, five records held by the Thai women's national volleyball team were revealed, marking their top positions in this tournament after clinching the 2026 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship and securing a ticket to the 2028 Olympics, the first Olympic appearance in Thailand's history.
In the final, the Thai women's volleyball team defeated China, the host and 13-time champion, in a thrilling 3-2 set victory with scores of 25-20, 11-25, 23-25, 25-18, 15-10, capturing their fourth Asian Women's Volleyball Championship title (previous wins in 2009, 2013, 2023, and 2026).
Several Thai players delivered outstanding performances in this tournament, resulting in five number-one records held by three players: Omsin Sasipaporn Janthawisut, who topped in total points scored, highest attack points, and most successful receptions, also earning the Best Outside Spiker award.
Meanwhile, Chompoo Pornpun Kodpraphet, the team's captain and setter, led in most successful sets and received both the MVP and Best Setter awards of the tournament. Additionally, Boombim Chatchu-on Moksri recorded the highest number of service points.
