Thai Womens Volleyball Team to Fly to Japan for Training Camp Ahead of 2026 Asian Games

The Thai women's volleyball team is set to meet Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul before flying out for a training camp to prepare for the 2026 Asian Games on 3 September.

On 31 August 2026, after the Thailand women's national volleyball team made history by winning the 2026 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship and securing their first-ever qualification for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, USA, the team is scheduled to immediately continue their mission.

On 3 September 2026, the Thai women's volleyball team will officially meet Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul to receive his encouragement and congratulations. Afterwards, the players will participate in an event with main sponsor JAS to receive performance bonuses.

Once all official duties are completed, the team will fly to Japan that same night to begin their training camp and prepare for the 2026 Asian Games.

The Thailand women's volleyball team has previously earned medals at the Asian Games twice: a silver medal at the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia and a bronze medal at the 2014 Asian Games in South Korea.
