On 5 September 2026, in the final of the 2026 African Women's Volleyball Championship held in Nairobi, Kenya, the Egyptian women's volleyball team delivered an outstanding performance by decisively defeating the host nation Kenya 3-0 in sets—25-22, 25-15, 25-15—winning the continental championship for the first time in 23 years.
This victory not only awarded Egypt their fourth African championship title but also guaranteed their first-ever qualification for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, USA, marking a historic milestone for Egypt's women's volleyball team.
