“Toey Anurak” is overjoyed!!! The Thai men's volleyball team beats Qatar for the first time in history, crediting confidence as the key factor.
Following the Thai men's national volleyball team’s 3-0 victory over Qatar with set scores of 25-22, 25-19, 25-14 at the 2026 Asian Men's Volleyball Championship group stage, Pool C, held in Japan.
After the match, Toey Anurak Punram, a star hitter for Thailand, said, “I think everyone played well, but we just had small talks and communicated to help them understand better. From watching the game from the outside, it seemed like we told them what to expect and what to do. We just aimed to make things smoother.”
“The key to victory was confidence. Today we brought full confidence. With good training and positive energy from the players we’ve practiced with, the competition today went well.”
