"Chatchu-on" opens up after missing the chance to compete for gold at the 2026 Asian Games ahead of Thailand women's volleyball versus South Korea.
On 22 September 2026, Boom-Bim Chatchu-on Moksri, a key middle blocker for Thailand's women's national volleyball team, gave an interview ahead of their bronze medal match against South Korea at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi, Japan.
Thailand's women's volleyball team unfortunately missed the chance to compete for their first Asian Games gold medal after losing to China 2-3 sets with scores of 25-23, 21-25, 11-25, 28-26, and 6-15, but they still have a shot at their third bronze medal following 2014 and 2022.
Boom-Bim Chatchu-on Moksri shared her feelings after Thailand's women's volleyball team dropped to the bronze medal match at the 2026 Asian Games: "It’s disappointing, but not heartbreaking, because we still have another match to play."
"At this point, no matter which team we face, we will give our best and try to bring home the bronze medal this time."
If they win the bronze, it will be Chatchu-on Moksri’s third Asian Games medal, adding to her silver from 2018 and bronze from 2022.
At the 2026 Asian Games women's volleyball bronze medal match, Thailand, ranked 13th in the world, will face South Korea, ranked 28th, today at 14:00. The match will be broadcast live on PPTV HD 36 and the AIS PLAY application.
