Deputy Superintendent of Pratunam Chulalongkorn Police Station Drives BMW Car Into Canal, Rescue Breaks Window to Save

Pathum Thani: A BMW car lost control and fell into a canal near the water gate at Canal 13. Rescuers broke the car window to assist the driver, who was a police officer with the rank of Police Lieutenant Colonel, serving as Deputy Superintendent of the Investigation Division at Pratunam Chulalongkorn Police Station.


At 00:30 on 14 December 2025 GMT+7, volunteers from Ruamkatanyu Foundation received a report that a car had lost control and fallen into a canal near the water gate at Canal 13, close to the Water Delivery and Maintenance Division 3 (Phra Thammarat) of the Rangsit North Water Delivery and Maintenance Project, Office of Irrigation 11, Royal Irrigation Department. They promptly rushed to the scene, assisted the victim, and immediately extracted him from a black BMW car, license plate 3 ขฒ 5695 Bangkok.




The victim was later identified as Police Lieutenant Colonel Pirat Sajja, Deputy Superintendent of Investigation at Pratunam Chulalongkorn Police Station. He was then taken for further medical treatment at Somdet Phra Thep Medical Center (MSW Hospital, Klong 16).




According to Mr. Taweesak Supprathum, a security officer at the Rangsit North Water Delivery and Maintenance Project, he had just started his shift at the office when he heard a loud noise from the canal bank. Nearby villagers approached him for help, and upon investigating, he saw a car had fallen into the canal. He immediately called rescue services and broke the left rear window to provide the trapped person with air. Rescue workers then extracted the victim from the vehicle, administered first aid, and transported him to MSW Hospital at Klong 16 for further care.
