The Criminal Court sentenced Jirat Thongsuwan, former MP of Chachoengsao from the Prachachon Party, to 2 years in prison without suspension for using a forged SorDor 43 military exemption document.
At 09:45 on 16 Dec 2025 GMT+7 in courtroom 910 of the Criminal Court on Ratchadapisek Road, the court heard the verdict in case number Atayor 155/2567 concerning forgery of SorDor 43. The prosecutor from Criminal Case Office 5 filed charges against Mr. Jirat or Navarin Thongsuwan, former MP of Chachoengsao from the Prachachon Party, for forgery and use of forged official documents and inputting false data into a computer system.
The case involved Mr. Jirat presenting a forged military exemption document, SorDor 43, which he then circulated on social media. This arose from suspicions about the legitimacy of his SorDor 43, leading to complaints that prompted the Army to investigate. Subsequently, Lieutenant General Taweepoon Rimsakorn, then Commander of the Territorial Defense Command, assigned a military legal officer to file charges against Mr. Jirat at Prachachuen Police Station for forgery and use of forged official documents.
The defendant denied the charges and was granted bail.
In this case, the prosecution presented six military officers as witnesses, while the defendant had only Mr. Jirat himself testify in his defense.
The court considered the evidence and found the defendant guilty of using a forged official military exemption document (SorDor 43). He was sentenced to 2 years in prison without suspension, while other charges were dismissed.
