Police arrested the mastermind of the online underground lottery "Baan Sap Mahasan" in Phimai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, seizing a large amount of evidence. They found the system has an annual turnover of 7.2 million baht.
On 19 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Pol. Lt. Gen. Surapol Prembutr, Commander of the Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD), along with Pol. Lt. Gen. Naradet Thiprak, Chief of Staff to the Royal Thai Police Commissioner assigned to TCSD, and Pol. Maj. Gen. Kritat Bamrungrattanayos, Commander of TCSD 4, ordered Pol. Col. Anucha Srisamrong, Superintendent of Division 2, TCSD 4, and his deputies, including Pol. Lt. Col. Sirivit Mahattanawisit, Deputy Superintendent, and Pol. Lt. Col. Prompol Nitwiboon, Deputy Superintendent of Intelligence Analysis, to lead a team executing search warrant number 19/2568 issued by Phimai Provincial Court. They searched a house in Phimai District, Nakhon Ratchasima, arresting Ms. Yardfa, 30, the homeowner. They confiscated a mobile phone, lottery number cards from "Baan Sap Mahasan," "Baan Mata Setthi," "Baan Mongkol Setthi," and "Baan Thung Ngern Thung Thong" for the lottery draw on 2 Jan 2026, totaling 3,733 tickets.
Pol. Lt. Gen. Surapol stated the arrest followed an earlier apprehension in October of "Koi Bangkae," a major online underground lottery operator in Bangkok’s Bangkae area. Investigations linked Ms. Koi as a subordinate who received lottery tickets from Ms. Yardfa, known as the lottery operator of "Baan Sap Mahasan," which was advertised online and based in Phimai District, Nakhon Ratchasima. Authorities gathered evidence, obtained a search warrant, and arrested Ms. Yardfa with all related evidence.
During interrogation, Ms. Yardfa admitted to illegally selling underground lottery tickets online for over five years due to the profitable income. She acted as the main online lottery agent, distributing tickets to sub-agents both within Phimai District and other provinces, who then resold the tickets at 150 baht each, earning a profit of 20 baht per ticket over the official lottery price.
The lottery results were announced on the 1st and 16th of each month. Ms. Yardfa’s monthly revenue from lottery sales averaged between 40,000 and 50,000 baht. Investigations revealed the system’s monthly transaction volume averaged 600,000 baht, equivalent to 7.2 million baht annually.
The police charged the suspect with "organizing or facilitating gambling, advertising, or directly or indirectly inviting others to gamble via electronic media without official permission." She was taken into custody for legal proceedings.
