The spokesperson for the Department of Corrections revealed that "Manas Boonjamnong" spent his first night in prison with some stress and difficulty sleeping, which is typical for new inmates. Adjustment may take some time.

On 20 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Yutthana Nakruangsi, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Corrections and its spokesperson, reported on Manas Boonjamnong's first night at Bangkok Remand Prison. After intake procedures, officials conducted background and health checks per regulations, including document verification, prison orders, ID number, and fingerprinting. Health screening found no chronic diseases and normal mental status. Manas was able to eat normally and cooperated well with staff. New inmates are placed in medical isolation or reception wards for about five days before being considered for transfer to other wards.

Initial reports indicate that Manas experienced some stress and had difficulty sleeping during his first night in prison, which is typical for new inmates. He may require some time to adjust to the prison environment.

Additionally, Bangkok Remand Prison is a pre-trial detention facility. Once the court issues a verdict, inmates are transferred to other prisons. The facility does not offer vocational training. Although Manas is a former national team boxer, inmates do not receive formal boxing instruction; at most, they can lead general exercise sessions for other prisoners.
