Commando Police Arrest “Toey Top Model,” Ending the Tale of a Fraudulent Talent Agent with Multiple Warrants

Commando police arrested “Toey Top Model,” ending the saga of a fraudulent talent agent who deceived more than 10 victims with total losses exceeding 10 million baht. Investigations found he had nine outstanding arrest warrants and a criminal record involving 18 cases.

On 23 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Pol. Maj. Gen. Theerachat Theerachatthamrong, commander of the Crime Suppression Division, ordered Pol. Col. Nopparat Khammak, head of the patrol division, and Pol. Lt. Col. Pongpit Trinikom, patrol division officer, to lead the arrest of Mr. Jarungsak Phumpuang, also known as “Toey Top Model,” 52, from Samut Prakan Province. He was apprehended under the Criminal Court warrant number 3497/67 issued on 17 Jul 2024 GMT+7 for charges of "collaborative public fraud and fraudulently inputting false data into computer systems likely to harm the public." He faced a total of nine warrants, including four related to the Computer Crime Act and five related to the Check Act, with a prior record involving 18 cases.

He was arrested in front of a house in Bang Bua Thong Subdistrict, Bang Bua Thong District, Nonthaburi Province.

This arrest followed from events in 2023 when victims saw the TOP MODELL 2022 project advertised on Facebook. They enrolled their two sons, who aspired to be models, in the program run by Top Model (Thailand) Co., Ltd., with Ms. Piyanuch Pinjan as company director and Mr. Jarungsak Phumpuang, her husband, recruiting participants. The program required 160 hours of training at 1,000 baht per hour, totaling 160,000 baht per person.
160,000 baht per person.

Later, participants were persuaded to pay 17,900 baht each for accompanying costs to model abroad. Hoping for their children’s future in modeling, parents trusted and paid the fees. However, no modeling jobs materialized as promised. When they requested refunds, the suspects repeatedly evaded them and became unreachable. Initially, more than 10 victims came forward, reporting losses exceeding 10 million baht. Complaints were filed in various jurisdictions leading to arrest warrants. Authorities tracked Jarungsak to Nonthaburi Province and arrested him.

During interrogation, Jarungsak denied the charges. He was handed over to Makkasan Police Station to proceed with legal action.
