Police Crack Down on Two Online Gambling Networks in Bangkok and Ubon Ratchathani with Annual Turnover Exceeding 100 Million Baht

Cyber police raided two online gambling networks in Bangkok and Ubon Ratchathani, discovering over 10,000 members and an annual turnover exceeding 100 million baht.

At 14:30 on 26 December 2025 at the Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD) Headquarters in Muang Thong Thani, Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi Province, Pol. Lt. Gen. Surapol Prembutr, Commander of TCSD; Pol. Lt. Gen. Naradet Thiprak, Police Commander assigned to the Royal Thai Police Office supporting TCSD; Pol. Lt. Gen. Wiwat Khamchamnarn, Deputy Commander of TCSD; Pol. Maj. Gen. Komkrit Sukthai, Commander of TCSD Division 3; Pol. Maj. Gen. Sila Kanjanarak, Commander of TCSD Division 5; and Pol. Maj. Gen. Songklod Kriangkritaya, Commander of the Technology Crime Suppression Subdivision, gathered for a press briefing.
They jointly announced the operation to dismantle two online gambling networks.

Pol. Lt. Gen. Surapol stated that following directives from Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and Royal Thai Police Commissioner Pol. Gen. Kittirat Phanpetch, the TCSD has accelerated investigations and arrests related to online crimes, especially targeting scammers and online gambling operations. These activities corrupt the public and youth and harm the country's economy.

Regarding the first network, investigators from the Special Analysis and Technical Tools Division, TCSD Division 3, found the website “pgz168” illegally offering various online gambling services such as lottery, slots, international football betting, baccarat, and other games. Payments were made through bank transfer systems. The network had over 10,000 members and an annual turnover exceeding 100 million baht.

Further investigation revealed that the online gambling website operated from two locations in the Baan Ua Arthorn housing project in Sai Mai District, Bangkok. Evidence was collected to seek warrants from Khon Kaen Provincial Court to arrest involved suspects and from the Criminal Court to search both locations.

Later, Pol. Col. Adichart Amornpradit, Commander of the Special Analysis and Technical Tools Division, TCSD Division 3, together with Pol. Col. Lakpakorn Lukrak, Commander of Division 3, TCSD Division 3, led investigation teams with criminal court search warrants to raid the target houses.

At the first location, police arrested Ms. Thitiporn Sangkhorn, 23, acting as an administrator, and seized one laptop, one mobile phone, one tablet, and one bank account book. At the second location, they arrested Mr. Wachira Traithong, 28, and Ms. Pornnapa Ngokngam, 23, also administrators, seizing nine mobile phones, one bank account book, three computers, one tablet, and one Wi-Fi router.

Initial interrogations revealed that all three admitted to being website administrators responsible for responding to customer chats, credit top-ups, and refund transfers for the online gambling site, earning 12,000 baht per month. Investigators also tracked down two additional suspects under arrest warrants who acted as money mules managing bank accounts to deposit and withdraw funds for the gambling website.

The police charged all five suspects with "collaborating to organize online gambling, using schemes to lure, advertise, or directly or indirectly encourage others to gamble electronically without permission," and sent them for legal proceedings.

Pol. Lt. Gen. Surapol added that regarding the second network, Pol. Col. Rotsak Naiphongsri, Commander of Division 2, TCSD Division 2, Pol. Lt. Chaiyachot Sriworakhan, Investigator of Division 2, TCSD Division 1, and their team executed a search warrant from the Ubon Ratchathani Provincial Court (No. K.55/2568) at a house on Sanpisit 12 Alley, Sanpisit Road, Nai Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang District, Ubon Ratchathani. They arrested Mr. Adisorn Munsri, 25, and seized one computer and one mobile phone. Investigations revealed he was an administrator for the online gambling network “123hengheng,” which had over 2,000 members and an annual turnover exceeding 4 million baht. Adisorn admitted earning 9,000 baht monthly for his admin work.

Subsequently, officers arrested Mr. Chaiya Laorlao, 30, another administrator of the same website, at his home in Sanpisit 8 Alley, Sanpisit Road, Nai Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang District, Ubon Ratchathani, seizing one computer and one mobile phone. He was identified as the person who recruited Adisorn to work as an online gambling site administrator.

Both suspects were charged with "collaborating to organize online gambling, using schemes to lure, advertise, or directly or indirectly encourage others to gamble electronically without permission."
