Two Serious Charges Filed Against Housekeeper for Mixing Disinfectant in Childs Food History of Theft in Multiple Areas Uncovered

Police have filed two serious charges against the housekeeper over mixing disinfectant in food: premeditated bodily harm and food adulteration. Although she denies the allegations, the evidence is solid. She also has a history of theft in several locations.

The case began when a Facebook user shared a warning after hiring a housekeeper from a Facebook group to clean their home, only to find that the housekeeper mixed "Dettol," a multipurpose disinfectant, into the milk given to their child. The victim suspects this was an attempt to incapacitate the child to facilitate theft. Later, TV host "Noom Kanchai" invited the parties to appear on his show, where the housekeeper insisted she did not intend to poison the child, claiming she mistook the disinfectant for milk and explained why she took photos of items in the house, as previously reported.

After the show, police summoned the housekeeper for further questioning at Bang Phong Phang Metropolitan Police Station to investigate the facts in detail.

On the evening of 30 December 2025 GMT+7, Pol. Maj. Gen. Witawat Chinkham, Commander of Metropolitan Police Division 5, gave an interview after questioning and charging Mrs. Ann, known as "Aunt Ann," the housekeeper, with premeditated bodily harm and food adulteration for mixing disinfectant into food given to a 2-year-old child. The suspect continues to deny all charges. Investigators then took her into custody and requested a detention order from the Phra Nakhon Tai District Court, opposing bail due to the severity of the penalties and the risk of reoffending.

The commander noted that the case benefited from cooperation with the media, especially the "Hon Krasae" program and Noom Kanchai, who provided extensive information and evidence, allowing for a swift and thorough case compilation.

A criminal background check revealed the suspect previously committed theft at Siriraj Hospital in August 2024 while working as a housekeeper and was sentenced by the court to prison, with the sentence suspended.

Furthermore, in August 2025, the suspect also committed theft at a condominium in On Nut. A victim named "Bow" did not file a police report at the time but, after learning about the case involving disinfectant mixed into a child's food, suspects the housekeeper may have used similar poisoning methods previously. Fortunately, the victim did not consume food from the stranger and was unharmed. She decided to file a report today.

Police also revealed they seized two mobile phones from the suspect for analysis of communication and past behavior, which may link to other cases. Authorities encourage any victims of similar acts by this suspect to report to local police stations to help collect evidence and pursue full legal action.
