National Police Chief Gives Special Lecture to 4th-Year Cadets on Instilling a Good Police Mindset Centered on the People

Pol. Gen. Kittirat Phanphet, the National Police Chief, gave a special lecture to 4th-year police cadets to instill the mindset of a good police officer who respects the nation, religion, the monarchy, and centers service on the people.

At 9:00 a.m. on 12 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Pol. Gen. Kittirat Phanphet, the National Police Chief, delivered a special lecture to the 4th-year police cadets (Class 79) with Pol. Lt. Gen. Sakrapee Priewpanich, Commander of the Police Cadet Academy, Pol. Lt. Gen. Phisit Tanprasert, Commander of Provincial Police Region 7, and other commanders welcoming him at the Temiyavet Conference Room, Police Cadet Academy, Sam Phran District, Nakhon Pathom Province.

The National Police Chief spoke about the police's current duties and future crime prevention efforts, especially combating scammer gangs—a modern crime causing widespread damage with rising trends—as well as narcotics, border protection, and assisting the public in all aspects.

He urged all police cadets to study the organizational structure of the Royal Thai Police to gain understanding, as well as the 2022 National Police Act and the principles of the rule of law. He encouraged them to internalize police ideals as a foundation for their duties and to cultivate a good police mindset by treating the public like family and placing the people at the center.

The National Police Chief explained the administration policy of the Royal Thai Police: “1 Commitment, 6 Accelerations, 9 Progressions,” emphasizing that the new generation of police officers should perform their duties with utmost honesty, protect and serve the people, safeguard the organization, and defend, preserve, and honor the monarchy with their lives.

Additionally, the National Police Chief stressed that police cadets are vital personnel of the Royal Thai Police. Upon graduation, this marks their first step in their careers, during which they must take responsibility for themselves, their work, and their families. Despite obstacles and temptations in their work, he urged them to always uphold correctness, avoid misconduct, be prudent, maintain a steadfast commitment to goodness, adhere to the law, rule of law, and justice, which will safely lead them to success.
