On 18 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Pol. Maj. Gen. Pornsak Laorujiralai, Commander of the Highway Police Division, ordered Pol. Col. Intarat Panya, Superintendent of Highway Police Division 7, and Pol. Lt. Col. Pongsak Meemusik, Investigation Officer of Highway Police Station 1, Division 7, to jointly arrest Ms. Narisa, 32, on charges of "forging and using forged official documents." The evidence included a white BMW car, two fake license plates, and one counterfeit annual tax sticker, seized on Highway No. 4 at kilometers 883–884, Tai Chang Subdistrict, Mueang District, Phang Nga Province.
Prior to the incident, Highway Police Station 1, Division 7, was patrolling their area when they found the BMW parked by the roadside. The license plates appeared irregular and did not conform to the Department of Land Transport's standards. Upon detailed inspection, they discovered the license plates and annual tax sticker were forged documents. The officers subsequently arrested the driver and seized the evidence for legal proceedings.
During questioning, Ms. Narisa confessed that her husband had contacted a Facebook page selling repossessed cars in 2024, purchased the vehicle in Nakhon Pathom Province for 270,000 baht, and the fake plates and tax sticker came with the car from the start. They then used the car in Phuket and Phang Nga provinces until it was detected and seized by police. The suspect and evidence were handed over to Mueang Phang Nga Police Station for prosecution.
In a separate case, Pol. Col. Phakphon Suchon, Superintendent of Highway Police Division 2, and Pol. Lt. Col. Kla Sombatpiboon, Investigation Officer of Highway Police Station 4, Division 2, along with their team arrested Ms. Duangdao, 43, on charges of forging and using forged official documents. The evidence included a bronze-gold Toyota sedan with license plate Kas 7015 Nakhon Si Thammarat, seized on Highway 41 at kilometer 23 southbound, Wisai Tai Subdistrict, Sawi District, Chumphon Province.
Highway Police Station 4, Division 2, had set up a checkpoint to enforce traffic discipline and prevent crime on Highway 41 at kilometer 23 southbound in Wisai Tai Subdistrict, Sawi District, Chumphon. They stopped the bronze-gold Toyota sedan driven by Ms. Duangdao. Inside the car, officers found a police-style hat on the dashboard. Additionally, a suspicious tax sticker was affixed on the left side, which did not match Department of Land Transport records. Upon removal and inspection, no information was found in the system. Checking the vehicle identification number revealed it belonged to a different car, and the tax sticker's identification number was incorrect with faded lettering, unlike the official stickers issued by the transport office.
Initially, Ms. Duangdao confessed. Authorities charged her with forging and using forged official documents and transferred her to Sawi Police Station in Chumphon Province for further legal action.
