Former Head of Security at Phuket Luxury Hotel Detained for Breaking into Female DJs Room No Bail Requested

Cherngtalay Police have taken into custody and remanded the former head of security at a luxury Phuket hotel, who broke into a female DJ's hotel room. With no relatives requesting bail, he confessed to all charges of "attempted nighttime home intrusion."

The case began when a Facebook user posted about a frightening event at a luxury hotel in Phuket, where an unknown person used a key card to enter her room. She asked the hotel to review CCTV footage but was told no one entered or exited. Later, the hotel's head of security turned himself in to Cherngtalay Police, as previously reported.

The latest update, on the morning of 19 Jan 2026 GMT+7, reports that Sergeant Kanit Sor, 39, a former military serviceman and ex-head of security, appeared at Phuket Provincial Court as scheduled by investigators. He admitted all charges of "attempted nighttime home intrusion." Authorities then remanded him at Phuket Provincial Court for 48 days over four terms, with no bail requested.
