"Octopus-Handed DJ" arrested at a resort after his wife could no longer tolerate his behavior and revealed his hiding place. Authorities found abundant incriminating "scandalous videos." The Metropolitan Police Chief disclosed the suspect remains silent and preparations are underway to expand the investigation with additional arrest warrants, believing there are at least dozens more victims.
On 20 Jan 2026 GMT+7, a Metropolitan Police investigation team led by Police Major General Chotiwat Luangwilai, Commander of the Metropolitan Police Division, arrested Mr. Kritiwut, known as "DJ Paul" (Octopus-Handed DJ), aged 44, under an arrest warrant for charges of indecency and rape within the Nimmit Mai Police Station jurisdiction. The arrest took place at a resort in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province following crucial information provided by the suspect’s latest wife, who could no longer endure his behavior and helped authorities track him down leading to his arrest.
After the arrest, Police Lieutenant General Siam Boonsom, Chief of the Metropolitan Police, along with Police Major General Chotiwat personally interrogated the suspect for over 30 minutes. However, he continued to deny all allegations and refused to answer media questions. Observers noted the suspect showed clear signs of stress.
Police Major General Chotiwat revealed that although the suspect denies the charges, the police have strong evidence to secure the case. This includes testimony from the latest wife who provided crucial evidence from surveillance cameras inside the spa where the crimes occurred. Additionally, authorities seized computers containing numerous images and video clips of the offenses.
Alarmingly, technical examination found that the suspect remotely deleted surveillance footage from the time of the incident on his mobile phone to destroy evidence. Authorities are currently working to recover data from the server to obtain further incriminating evidence.
Initially, police are gathering evidence to request the court to issue at least one additional arrest warrant. They believe there are many more victims who have not yet come forward due to fear. Police urge other victims to provide information to the authorities so that the case can be fully prosecuted. The Metropolitan investigation unit will hand all evidence to the forensic department for thorough examination.
