
Cyber police arrested radio host and famous boxing promoter “Udd Ek Bangsai” for live-streaming advertisements promoting a gambling website. He has been doing this for more than four years and was paid 1,000-2,000 baht per session.
On 20 Jan, Pol. Lt. Gen. Surapol Prembutr, Commander of the Cyber Crime Division, along with Pol. Lt. Gen. Naradet Tiprak, Permanent Commander at the Royal Thai Police Office assisting the Cyber Crime Division, Pol. Maj. Gen. Wiwat Kamchamnarn, Deputy Commander of the Cyber Crime Division, and Pol. Maj. Gen. Thinkorn Rangmat, Deputy Commander of the Cyber Crime Division, ordered Pol. Maj. Gen. Komkrit Sukthai, Commander of Cyber Crime Division 3, Pol. Col. Natthapong Promphrai, Chief of Police 4, Cyber Crime Division 3, and Pol. Lt. Col. Mit Khonchum, Deputy Chief Investigator, Cyber Crime Division 3, to lead forces with a warrant from Sakon Nakhon Provincial Court No. J.15/2569 dated 15 Jul 2026 to arrest Mr. Charoenchok Rojanarangsitkul, 52, also known as “Udd Ek Bangsai,” a radio host, head of a boxing camp, and a well-known boxing promoter in Ubon Ratchathani Province. He was charged with “deceiving, advertising, or enticing others directly or indirectly to participate in gambling without official permission.”
Investigators from Investigation Unit 4, Cyber Crime Division 3, found a Facebook account under the name “Charoenchok Rojanarangsitkul” with over 6,000 followers. The account was used to advertise the gambling website “PAKYOK 287,” which offers online gambling services including slots, casino games, and various other bets. The platform allowed the general public, including minors, to participate in real gambling activities.
Further investigation confirmed that Mr. Charoenchok was live-streaming advertisements encouraging people to join online gambling. Authorities gathered evidence and obtained court approval for an arrest warrant for Mr. Charoenchok and search warrants for three related locations in Ubon Ratchathani: first, a radio station on Burapha Nok Road, Nai Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang District; second, a residence on Phlochai Road, Nai Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang District; and third, a residence and boxing camp in Moo 10, Muang Sam Sip Subdistrict, Muang Sam Sip District. Mr. Charoenchok was arrested at the radio station with seized evidence including vinyl banners displaying the gambling website's name used in the advertisements.
During questioning, Mr. Charoenchok admitted to being paid for live-streaming advertisements promoting the gambling website for over four years, earning between 1,000 and 2,000 baht per session. He was taken into custody to proceed with legal action.
