Big Joke Faces New Assault Allegations from Two Close Subordinates

"Big Joke" faces new allegations! Police Major Kris and Police Colonel Aris, two close subordinates, secretly filed complaints with the Crime Suppression Division accusing Pol. Gen. Surachate Hakparn, aka Big Joke, of assault. They claim they were slapped until Kris's eardrum ruptured, verbally abused including insults to family, and threatened with harsher consequences if they return to government service.

At 15:30 on 20 Jan 2026 GMT+7, at the Crime Suppression Division complaint center, Police Major Kris Piriya-ket and Police Colonel Aris Kuprasitrat, two close subordinates of Pol. Gen. Surachate Hakparn (Big Joke), former Deputy Commissioner of Police, met with Lt. Pat. Napas Nilphueng, Deputy Investigator, Division 1, Crime Suppression Division, to file charges against Pol. Gen. Surachate for "assault causing bodily or mental harm to another person."

According to statements from Police Major Kris and Police Colonel Aris, while serving as police officers assigned to Pol. Gen. Surachate (Big Joke), they were regularly subjected to physical assault and harsh verbal abuse when their work did not meet expectations. Most incidents occurred at a luxury hotel on Phaya Thai Road, Pol. Gen. Surachate's residence in Soi Vibhavadi 60, his home in Tha Sai Subdistrict, Mueang Nonthaburi District, as well as an office.

In the case of Police Major Kris, on 20 Feb 2017, Pol. Gen. Surachate (Big Joke) assaulted him by repeatedly slapping his left ear 4-5 times with his right hand. Around 23 Feb 2017, Kris began experiencing severe ear and head pain, a side effect of the assault. He decided to visit Bangkok Hospital for examination, where doctors diagnosed a "medium-sized perforation of the left eardrum."

For Police Colonel Aris, most incidents involved Pol. Gen. Surachate verbally abusing him with vulgar language, sometimes comparing him to a buffalo and even insulting his family members. This was a regular occurrence. Additionally, he was often threatened with harsher treatment if he disobeyed orders or refused to comply, including threats of "serious repercussions if you return to government service." These threats caused Aris significant fear and accumulated stress, leading to insomnia. He sought psychiatric treatment at Charoenkrung Pracharak Hospital to address his mental health.

Initially, the investigators accepted the complaint to forward it to superiors for further consideration and action.
