Big Joke Sends Lawyer to File Charges Against Former Close Aide Pol. Lt. Col. Krit for False Reporting

Big Joke has sent his lawyer to file charges against former close aide Pol. Lt. Col. Krit for false reporting. He revealed that tomorrow he plans to send a legal team to sue those involved in the gold bribery case, with Pol. Col. Aris to be next. Through his lawyer, he emphasized that he has no intention of evading or avoiding the justice process and is ready to provide testimony if lawfully summoned.

At 17:00 on 21 Jan 2026 GMT+7, at the Central Investigation Bureau complaint center, lawyer Sanyaphatchara Samart, authorized by Pol. Gen. Surachate Hakpal, known as Big Joke and former Deputy Commissioner-General of Police, met investigators at Division 1, Crime Suppression Division to file a complaint against former close subordinate Pol. Lt. Col. Krit Priyaket on the charge of "false reporting."

Sanyaphatchara said that yesterday, Pol. Lt. Col. Krit filed a complaint accusing Pol. Gen. Surachate of assault. He questioned why Krit reported an alleged assault from 2017 only now, nine years later. This case resembles an earlier 2019 incident where Big Joke was accused of assaulting 17 subordinates, which was later proven to have been done under orders from a former Police Commissioner-General, with the matter fully investigated and closed.

He added that on 7 Jan 2026 GMT+7, a journalist posted Pol. Lt. Col. Krit’s medical records. Dr. Thawatchai Kanjanarin, former surgeon at Phramongkutklao Hospital, reviewed the records and noted inconsistencies. Krit visited the outpatient department appearing normal, with vital signs such as pulse, blood pressure, and respiration within normal limits. Records state he complained of left ear ringing two days after injury, with slight dizziness and imbalance. Examination found a perforated left eardrum and a normal right eardrum, coded H72.8. Dr. Thawatchai noted that for acute injury, the code should have been S09.2 instead.

Furthermore, if assaulted with 4-5 slaps, visible facial injuries would be expected, and an X-ray should have been conducted. However, the examination only included an ENT doctor's opinion. A real assault victim would require examination by a surgeon. After the exam, Krit was sent home with 20 antibiotic pills and 10 painkillers, with a follow-up appointment scheduled. The doctor did not recommend hospital admission or close monitoring, which would be expected for serious injury.

This analysis serves as evidence suggesting Krit’s injuries were not caused by assault but likely due to infection or illness. Therefore, Big Joke is not liable under Criminal Code Section 295. The case is deemed a false report. Dr. Thawatchai will also serve as a witness.

The lawyer stated that during Krit’s time working with Big Joke, he was entrusted with important roles. He questioned whether Krit’s complaint has underlying motives or is influenced by others. He warned the former subordinate that filing false reports will ultimately lead to imprisonment.

He confirmed that Big Joke chooses personnel based on competence, similarly with Pol. Col. Aris, who holds a position matching his abilities. However, he believes Aris’s current allegation of psychological harm may stem from him switching sides to an opposing faction.

Sanyaphatchara added that Big Joke wants to stress he is not evading justice and is willing to testify if lawfully summoned. He urged investigators to handle the case fairly. Meanwhile, Big Joke will pursue legal action fully, with Pol. Col. Aris next in line for a counter-complaint.

Meanwhile, tomorrow Pol. Gen. Surachate will assign lawyers to proceed at the Anti-Corruption Criminal Court to charge the investigation team related to the gold bribery case under Sections 157 and 200 of the Criminal Code.
