On 26 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Pol. Maj. Gen. Phatthanasak Bupphasuwan, Commander of Crime Suppression Division, ordered Pol. Col. Jetanipat Siriwat, Superintendent of Division 1, and Pol. Lt. Col. Ekarat Chanmanee, Inspector of Division 1, to arrest Boonting Sukkorn, 51, under Criminal Court warrant No. 590/2567 dated 12 Feb 2024, on charges including impersonating an official without authority, extortion, unlawful entry into property with others, and unlawful detention. This arrest followed complaints from two victims at Sai Mai Police Station, who reported that four men claiming to be Crime Suppression officers raided their homes without a search warrant. No illegal items were found, yet the men forced both victims into a vehicle, driving them around Ram Inthra - Khu Bon Road. They placed methamphetamine on their laps and threatened them to come up with 100,000 baht, warning that if they failed, the drugs would be considered theirs. Besides this case, the suspects had committed similar crimes in several other areas, including impersonating police to kidnap and threaten for money in Bang Sri Muang Police Station area, Nonthaburi Province, and extorting an online gambling website. Authorities learned that most suspects had already been arrested, leaving only Boonting, a key figure, who fled to Lopburi.
