
The Minister of Justice revealed that arrest warrants have been issued for S.C. Ney Kalasin and his wife, who have fled abroad after being implicated in online gambling and scammer cases. Another arrest warrant for a second S.C. is being prepared, but the name cannot yet be disclosed.
At 16:00 on 26 January 2026 CE at the Department of Special Investigation, 1st floor, Chaeng Watthana Road, Bangkok, Police Lieutenant General Rutthapon Naowarat, Minister of Justice, gave an update on the prosecution of over 10 individuals, including candidates and former candidates for the House of Representatives and political party networks, who are involved with online gambling websites and scammers.
Recently, the relevant authorities have issued arrest warrants for two individuals, who are known to have fled abroad. These two are a married couple: the husband is Patthanun Chandorn, also known as S.C. Ney, a member of the Kalasin Provincial Council. S.C. Ney and his wife fled the country on 20 January 2026 CE. Another S.C., whose name cannot yet be revealed due to ongoing evidence collection, reportedly fled on 15 January 2026 CE.
When asked whether the two suspects (S.C. Ney and his wife), as well as the other undisclosed S.C., were charged with money laundering related to the gambling websites, the Minister of Justice declined to comment further and said he would provide more information tomorrow (27 January 2026 CE), which is the day of the Cabinet meeting.
