Special Operations Division police made a tense interception, arresting “Auan Thanam Thewet” who was transporting four explosive bombs in a car, preparing to throw them at “Ne Watdao,” a prison-affiliated influencer, at his home after a social media dispute.
At 05:00 on 28 Jan 2026 GMT+7, under the command of Police Lieutenant General Siam Boonsom, Metropolitan Police Bureau Commander, and Police Major General Pallop Aermla, Deputy Commander, an operation was ordered to crack down on crime and illegal activities. Police Colonel Supachai Chaisuwan, Special Operations Division Commander, with Deputy Commander Police Lieutenant Colonel Peeyarat Wesakosol and Sergeant Major Chakri Nareepol, led officers from Special Operations Division Unit 1 to patrol. They received a tip from a citizen about a potential fight gathering at Soi Arun Amarin 45, Arun Amarin subdistrict, Bangkok Noi district, Bangkok, and coordinated with Samsen Police Station to investigate.
At the scene, a Thai man later identified as Mr. Mana Kaewsanga, nicknamed “Auan Thanam Thewet,” aged 39, was found standing and arguing with a group of youths in front of the well-known prison-affiliated influencer’s house, “Ne Watdao.” A search of his person found no illegal items. However, searching the vehicle he was driving revealed four explosive bombs of types M-67, M-61, M-26, and GR73. The bomb disposal unit was urgently called in to secure the explosives.
The fight reportedly stemmed from the destruction of some illegal items. The suspect pursued “Ne Watdao” to his residence, bringing explosives with the intent to throw them, aiming to kill all gang members. The Special Operations Division intercepted him before a tragic event could occur.
During questioning, Mr. Mana admitted the bombs were his and intended to throw them at “Ne Watdao,” the adversary in their social media conflict. He was charged with “possession of explosives without permission.”
A background check on Mr. Mana revealed three outstanding warrants: 1.
