Cyber Police Raid Sorcerer for Illegal Online Gun Sales, Seize Four Firearms

Cyber police arrested a sorcerer who illegally sold guns online, seizing four firearms and 690 rounds of ammunition. He claimed to have bought them from acquaintances before reselling in a secret group to make extra profit.

On 29 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Pol. Lt. Gen. Suraphol Prembut, Commander of the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB), along with Pol. Lt. Gen. Naradet Thiprak, Commander assigned to CCIB, Pol. Maj. Gen. Wiwat Khamchamnarn, Deputy Commander of CCIB, and Pol. Maj. Gen. Thinkorn Rangmat, Deputy Commander of CCIB, ordered Pol. Maj. Gen. Komkrit Sukthai, Commander of CCIB Region 3, Pol. Col. Prasert Wangboonsang, Superintendent of Division 2 CCIB Region 3, and Pol. Capt. Chaimet Netiwimonsil, Investigator of Division 2 CCIB Region 3, to coordinate with Pol. Lt. Col. Trairat Ngadsantia, Deputy Superintendent, Special Investigation Division, Provincial Police Region 4, to arrest Mr. Plakorn Khotsombat, 33, a sorcerer who blesses amulets from Udon Thani. They seized four firearms and 690 rounds of ammunition as evidence.




He is charged with "possession of firearms and ammunition without a license, and carrying firearms in towns, villages, or public areas without permission or valid reason."




Investigators from Division 2, CCIB Region 3, discovered illegal gun sales in a secret Facebook group. They infiltrated the group and arranged to buy a .38 caliber revolver from Mr. Plakorn for 55,000 baht. The meeting was set in front of the shooting range at Senie Camp, Border Patrol Police Company 24, Nong Bua Subdistrict, Mueang District, Udon Thani. The suspect was arrested with the revolver and 141 rounds of ammunition hidden in his car.

Authorities then searched Mr. Plakorn's home in Village 4, Nong Phai Subdistrict, Mueang District, Udon Thani, and seized three additional firearms: one shotgun, two 9mm pistols, and 549 rounds of various ammunition. Examination revealed all firearm ownership documents belonged to other individuals.



During interrogation, Mr. Plakorn said he is a sorcerer who blesses amulets aimed at enhancing luck and charisma for a Chinese clientele. He has a personal interest in firearms, which he buys from acquaintances and resells in secret groups for profit. He was taken into custody along with the seized items for legal proceedings.
