The Child Protection Police arrested “Je Namfon,” a Laotian woman who administered a secret group, forcing girls aged 12 to 15 to film indecent content for the group. Authorities plan to expand investigations and press charges against service buyers and group members.
On 1 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Pol. Maj. Gen. Witthaya Sriprasertphap, commander of the Child Protection Division, ordered Pol. Col. Warit Pathumarak, superintendent of Division 2, and Pol. Lt. Col. Natthaphon Rakachip, investigator of Division 2, to arrest Ms. Lanya, 31, a Laotian national. She faces charges of human trafficking by exploiting children through producing or distributing obscene material, recruiting or harboring minors over 15 but under 18 years old for commercial purposes involving child pornography. She is also charged with coercing, threatening, inducing, or permitting children to perform obscene acts for compensation or other reasons, importing obscene computer data accessible to the public, and entering Thailand without a permit. Authorities rescued three victims: one girl aged 12 and two aged 15.
Investigations by Division 2 revealed Ms. Namfon managed an X (Twitter) account with over 30,000 followers and more than 1.9 million views. She posted nude images and videos of girls under 18 to entice people to join a secret LINE group charging membership fees from 300 to 499 baht. She used deceptive legal tactics by receiving membership payments via bank accounts belonging to the victimized children to avoid detection.
After confirming the evidence, officials obtained an arrest warrant and apprehended her. They rescued three victims from human trafficking. Interrogations uncovered psychological abuse and exploitation, including forcing victims to film clips for the secret group, threatening them psychologically if they refused to work or tried to go home, subjecting them to insults and pressure to feel guilty, forcing them to continue working. Bank records showed over 170,000 baht circulated in under a month.
In questioning, Ms. Namfon confessed. She was sent to Division 2 for prosecution. Authorities will intensify efforts to prosecute service buyers and members of the secret LINE group (possessors of child pornography) to the fullest extent of the law.
