National Police Chief Appoints Akkaradet as Advisor to NPA for Crime Prevention

The National Police Chief has appointed Pol. Gen. Akkaradet Pimonsri as an advisor to the National Police Agency to reinforce crime prevention efforts and expedite the implementation of the 2026 policy.

On 2 Feb 2026 at the National Police Agency (NPA) headquarters, Pol. Gen. Kittirat Phanphet, the National Police Chief, signed NPA Order No. 585/2568 appointing an advisor to the agency. The NPA has a critical mission to implement the administrative policies for fiscal year 2025, focusing on strategies for crime prevention and suppression. This requires effective management of all administrative resources to support these policies and ensure efficient policy-driven operations.

To ensure smooth and effective execution of the NPA's administrative policies for fiscal year 2026, under the authority granted by Section 63 of the 2022 National Police Act, Pol. Gen. Akkaradet Pimonsri was appointed as advisor to the National Police Agency on strategies for crime prevention and suppression. His duties include the following:

(1) Providing information and advice to the National Police Chief, Deputy Chiefs, Inspector General, or equivalent positions; Assistant Chiefs, Deputy Inspectors General, or equivalents; and commanding officers of subordinate units involved with crime prevention and suppression strategies, as well as overall NPA administration, to ensure alignment with the NPA’s administrative policies for fiscal year 2026.

(2) Coordinating with relevant parties to gather information related to crime prevention and suppression strategies, and offering constructive opinions to assist in decision-making and related operations.

(3) Transferring knowledge and tasks to Deputy Chiefs, Inspector General or equivalent positions; Assistant Chiefs, Deputy Inspectors General or equivalents; and commanders responsible for crime prevention and suppression strategies.

(4) Providing consultation on other matters as assigned by the National Police Chief as deemed appropriate. This appointment is effective from 11 December 2025 to 30 September 2026.
