
Songkhla — A lone suspect robbed over 60 baht of gold jewelry from a well-known mall in the Hatyai area and escaped. Police from Kho Hong Police Station reviewed CCTV footage to pursue the suspect and coordinated with forensic teams to investigate the scene to identify and prosecute the suspect.
At 18:50 on 3 February 2026, officers at Kho Hong Police Station received a report of a robbery at Burapha Gold Shop inside a shopping mall in Hatyai district, Kho Hong subdistrict, Songkhla province.
Initial CCTV review showed the suspect entered alone, climbed over the counter, and used a hammer to smash the glass before grabbing approximately 60 baht of gold necklaces. The suspect wore a black helmet and black jacket, then quickly fled riding a motorcycle, believed to be a Honda Wave. The entire act took about 30 seconds.
Investigators from Region 9, Songkhla Provincial Police, and Kho Hong Police are urgently conducting area searches and setting up checkpoints along likely escape routes used by the suspect.
According to reporters, at 20:20, information indicated the suspect initially robbed a local resident's motorcycle in Na Mom district before riding it to commit the gold shop robbery. Authorities are continuing investigations and reviewing CCTV from the crime scene and escape routes.
