
The Crime Suppression Division's Unit 6 seized and froze gold necklaces from a 15-year-old friend of the 15-year-old juvenile who committed a robbery at a gold shop in Hat Yai, Songkhla Province.
On the evening of 3 Feb, a lone suspect robbed a gold shop inside a well-known department store in Kho Hong Subdistrict, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, directly opposite Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai campus. The total weight of the stolen gold was 33 baht. Later, Pol. Maj. Gen. Phatthanasak Bubphasuvarn, Commissioner of the Crime Suppression Division, ordered Pol. Col. Phongpanot Chukaew, Deputy Commander, Pol. Col. Suriyasak Jirawat, Commander of Unit 3, and Pol. Col. Anusorn Thongsai, Commander of Unit 6, to lead officers to arrest Mr. Aun (alias), 15, a Songkhla native and suspect in the case, at Ubon Ratchathani Bus Terminal, as previously reported.
At 19:30 on 4 February 2026, Pol. Col. Anusorn Thongsai, Commander of Unit 6, ordered officers to seize and freeze gold necklaces from a 15-year-old friend of Mr. Aun, the 15-year-old suspect who robbed the gold shop alone. After confessing, he admitted to entrusting the gold to his friend before fleeing to Ubon Ratchathani Province, where he was apprehended.
Reports state that about 30 pieces of gold have been found so far, including both gold necklaces and gold bracelets.
