
The Immigration Bureau announced the results of an operation arresting an American man wanted by the Richmond High Court in Georgia for a brutal murder who had entered Thailand posing as a tourist.
At 10:30 a.m. on 5 Feb 2026 at the Immigration Office in Muang Thong Thani, Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi Province, Pol. Maj. Gen. Pantha Nuchnarat, Deputy Commander of the Immigration Bureau, Pol. Maj. Gen. Phanop Worathanatchakul, Commander of the Immigration Bureau's Investigation Division and Secretary of the Immigration Bureau's Operations Center, Pol. Col. Ratchot Chotikhun, Deputy Commander of the Investigation Division, Pol. Col. Thawatchai Narinrat, Chief of Investigation Division 1, and Pol. Col. Phisit Srion, Chief of Investigation Division 2, jointly announced the arrest of an American man who had fled murder charges and was hiding in Thailand.
Pol. Maj. Gen. Pantha stated that the Immigration Bureau's investigation team received coordination from the U.S. Foreign Criminal Investigation Unit in Bangkok, reporting that MR.CEDRIC ALANDUS PETERS, 23, an American citizen, is wanted by the Richmond High Court in Georgia on charges of "premeditated murder, firearm possession, trespassing, and theft." MR.CEDRIC, along with another suspect already arrested by U.S. authorities, broke into a victim's home, stole property, and fatally shot the victim before fleeing and entering Thailand posing as a tourist.
Investigations revealed that MR.CEDRIC ALANDUS PETERS was residing in a condominium within Sanpawut Soi 2, Sanpawut Road, Bang Na Nuea Subdistrict, Bang Na District, Bangkok, where authorities deployed forces to arrest him.
Initially, he denied committing the crime. He was informed in writing of the revocation of his permission to remain in the kingdom before being handed over to the investigators of Investigation Division 3 for detention pending deportation to the United States for prosecution.
