
"Deputy Jor," Pol. Maj. Gen. Theeradech Thammasuthir, Deputy Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, opened the first batch of a workshop to enhance the efficiency of drug investigation and case expansion in Bangkok.
At 07:00 on 10 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Pol. Lt. Gen. Siam Boonsom, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, appointed Pol. Maj. Gen. Theeradech Thammasuthir, Deputy Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau and Deputy Director of the Narcotics Suppression Center, Metropolitan Police Bureau, to chair the opening of the "Workshop to Enhance Efficiency in Drug Investigation and Case Expansion Using Support Measures in Bangkok for Fiscal Year 2026, Batch 1."
From 9 to 11 Feb 2026 GMT+7 at Chateau de Khaoyai Hotel in Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, over 180 police officers under the Metropolitan Police Bureau participated in the training that began on the morning of 9 Feb. The event was supported by Mr. Parin Mekanan, Director of the Bangkok Narcotics Suppression Office. Speakers included Pol. Col. Sakya Saengwan, Deputy Commander of Metropolitan Police Division 1; Pol. Col. Narit Pratthanaporn, Deputy Commander of Division 6; Pol. Col. Sitthipong Watsarakit, Deputy Commander of the Metropolitan Police Bureau's Inspection Division; and Pol. Col. Naramin Thepjakrin, Superintendent of Division 6, Inspection Division, Metropolitan Police Bureau, who also served as assistant secretary of the Metropolitan Narcotics Center.
Additionally, Mr. Adirek Onlamul, Director of the Police Department and expert lecturer; Prosecutor Phuvitjchaya Luangtheerakul; and Pol. Col. Pathomporn Lueasiang, Deputy Commander of Narcotics Suppression Division 2, participated as guest speakers.
The workshop aims to improve effectiveness in addressing drug problems in line with the policies of the government, the Office of the Narcotics Control Board, and the Royal Thai Police.
