Latest developments on the evening of 13 February 2026: reporters learned that investigators at Mueang Pathum Thani Police Station presented photographs of the gang involved to the victims, who confirmed they were the same individuals who had conducted a search at the victim's home, which operates as a cannabis shop. Among those entering was a man dressed like a police officer with the rank of Police Lieutenant Colonel.
Investigators at Mueang Pathum Thani Police Station gathered all evidence and requested arrest warrants from the Pathum Thani Provincial Court. This afternoon (13 February), the court approved arrest warrants for five individuals, one of whom is a police officer holding the rank of Police Lieutenant Colonel, serving as Deputy Inspector at Metropolitan Police Division 2. Another suspect, a Police Sub-Lieutenant from Provincial Police Region 1, was brought in by his superior to surrender.
Sources report that police identified the suspects because on 11 February 2026, the Police Lieutenant Colonel in question filed a police report to request a search warrant from the Pathum Thani Provincial Court to search the aforementioned house. This serves as evidence confirming that this officer was part of the group conducting the search at the victim's home and has been charged accordingly.
The village security chief told reporters that on 11 February 2026 at 13:25, a group of suspects arrived in four vehicles. Among them was a person dressed in a police uniform, though his rank was unknown, and the security staff did not get a clear look. They handed a brown envelope to the security guard claiming it contained a search warrant to enter the specified house. Pickup trucks followed and exchanged access cards to enter the same home. The security guard followed the vehicles but did not take photos. The group claiming to be police spent over an hour there and left normally afterward.
Later that evening, residents grew suspicious and reported to the security guards that the group might not be real police officers. They requested to review CCTV footage to check license plates and identification cards of the visitors before filing a complaint.
Subsequently, officers from Mueang Pathum Thani Police Station came to inspect the scene and requested information from the security guards. The property management has already handed all relevant evidence to the police.
Further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
