On 18 Feb 2026, Pathum Thani Provincial Police, Lat Lum Kaeo Police Station, issued a statement regarding social media reports on that day alleging a man with a firearm was threatening to shoot children, causing several schools in Lat Lum Kaeo district to close temporarily.
Pol. Col. Dusadee Hirunrat, superintendent of Lat Lum Kaeo Police Station, reported that on 15 Feb 2026, Mr. Nopparat, also known as L. Jeento, aged 30, assaulted his wife and fired a gun at a highway rescue vehicle in Huay Yai Police Station area, Chonburi Province. A warrant was issued for his arrest, but he fled to his home in Rahaeng Subdistrict, Lat Lum Kaeo District, Pathum Thani Province. There, he reportedly used a firearm to coerce his father-in-law into a pickup truck to force his wife to meet, out of anger over her filing a complaint against him.
Subsequently, the father-in-law managed to escape unharmed and filed a complaint charging Mr. Nopparat with unlawful detention. Lat Lum Kaeo Police have obtained a court-approved arrest warrant. A search of Mr. Nopparat’s home uncovered several firearms, for which charges have been filed. Police are mobilizing forces to apprehend Mr. Nopparat and proceed with legal action.
