Prosecutor Postpones Indictment Hearing for Hia Mo and Associates in MORE Stock Manipulation Case to 18 Mar

Special Prosecutor Office 3 has postponed the indictment hearing for 'Hia Mo' and associates in the MORE stock manipulation case to 18 March, following a motion with reasons filed today by the defendants' authorized lawyer requesting the delay.

On 19 Feb at Special Prosecutor Office 3, Supreme Prosecutor Office, Ratchadaphisek Road, the office scheduled the indictment hearing in the MORE stock manipulation case involving Mr. Somnuek Kayaowatkit, chairman of a company affiliated with Tonghua, Ms. Pundreek Isarangkul na Ayutthaya, CEO of Global Service Center Public Company Limited (GSC), and Mr. Amarit Klomjitcharoen, also known as 'Hia Mo', CEO of MORE, as defendants.

They are charged with conspiring to manipulate the price or trading volume of MORE securities, causing the public to be misled about the price or volume, in a continuous manner intended to distort the securities' price or volume from normal market conditions; conspiring to commit fraud; and being part of a criminal syndicate, under the Securities and Exchange Act B.E. 2535 (1992), Sections 244/3 and 244/5, before the Criminal Court.

At the scheduled hearing, the defendants' authorized representatives filed a motion with reasons requesting a postponement of the indictment hearing today. After consideration, Special Prosecutor Office 3 found valid grounds for delay and thus granted a new hearing date set for 18 March at the Criminal Court.
