
Pol. Maj. Gen. Samart Promchat, Chief of Division 9, led police officers from Bang Bon Police Station and related agencies in launching the Sustainable Subdistrict Operation Project to comprehensively address drug problems.
At 07:00 on 19 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Pol. Maj. Gen. Samart Promchat, Chief of Division 9, presided over the opening ceremony of the Sustainable Subdistrict Operation Project aimed at comprehensively solving drug problems according to the national strategy. He was joined by Pol. Col. Theerachai Dedkard, Deputy Chief of Division 9; Pol. Col. Trairat Pengnu, Superintendent of Samut Dam Police Station; the Director of Bang Khun Thian District; the chairman of the Police Oversight Committee (K.T.T.R.) of Samut Dam Police Station and other officials; representatives from Health Service Center 42 (Thong Sima); the Bangkok Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB Bangkok); the chairman and committee of the Pu Chom Pattana community. They all took part in signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the project.
After the opening ceremony, executives and project participants visited the community and distributed survival kits to three elderly and vulnerable residents at the Pu Chom Pattana community office on Soi Thian Thale 20, Samut Dam Subdistrict, Bang Khun Thian District, Bangkok, on 18 Feb.
He then presided over the opening ceremony of the Sustainable Subdistrict Operation Project to address drug problems comprehensively according to the national strategy at Bang Bon Police Station, held at Rungchat Pavilion (Upholding) in Kaset Nai Phon Community, Bang Bon Tai Subdistrict, Bang Bon District, Bangkok. Joining the ceremony were Pol. Col. Thanameth Wijitchariya, Superintendent of Bang Bon Police Station; the Director of Bang Bon District; representatives from Health Service Center 65; the Bangkok Office of the Narcotics Control Board; the chairman of the Police Oversight Committee of Bang Bon Police Station; and community leaders.
The project focuses on introducing methods to care for drug users by guiding them into continuous treatment processes, reintegrating rehabilitated individuals into society, reducing the number of users, and strengthening communities sustainably over the long term.
