Raid on SIM Box Hub in Wang Nam Yen Community Linked to Tech Crime Network

The Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD) joined forces with Region 2 police and Sa Kaeo police to raid a SIM box hub in a community in Wang Nam Yen district, seizing eight devices. The operation is believed to be linked to a technology crime network, with plans to expand the investigation to identify those involved and prosecute them legally.

At 08:00 on 19 Feb 2026 GMT+7, reporters learned that under the direction of the Sa Kaeo Provincial Police led by Police Colonel Chaturaphat Singhathit, Deputy Commander of Sa Kaeo Provincial Police, along with Police Colonel Damrong Iamphairoj, Chief of Investigation Police of Sa Kaeo, officers from the Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD), Region 2 Investigation Police, and Sa Kaeo Provincial Investigation Police conducted a search of rental rooms behind Khlong Ta Sut Temple, Village 10, Khlong Hin Pun Subdistrict, Wang Nam Yen district, Sa Kaeo province. Ms. Chawi, 58, identified herself as the owner and cooperated by allowing the officers to conduct the search.

Inside two rental rooms, officers found eight SIM box devices hidden along with WiFi routers and computers used to control their operation. These devices are considered tools supporting technology-related crimes, such as call center scams or online fraud.

Initially, authorities plan to coordinate with forensic police to carefully collect evidence and technical data at the scene. They will also work swiftly to identify the tenant to expand the investigation toward the related network and pursue legal action to the fullest extent.

Police emphasized that the crackdown on illegal equipment like these devices is part of proactive measures to prevent and suppress technology crimes, aiming to continuously ensure the safety of the local community.
