A reporter reported that at 20:30 on 19 Feb 2026 GMT+7, officers from Pak Khlong Rangsit Police Station brought two suspects involved in stealing communication cables, along with seized evidence, for interrogation and further investigation. They also held a press conference with Pol. Col. Phatthanchai Phomornpiboon, Chief of Pak Khlong Rangsit Police Station, Pol. Lt. Col. Sirapop Bualuang, Deputy Chief of Investigation, Pol. Lt. Itthiphon Phuttharaksa, Investigation Officer, and the investigative team.
Pol. Lt. Itthiphon Phuttharaksa, Investigation Officer at Pak Khlong Rangsit Police Station, stated that on 11 Feb 2026 GMT+7, at about 00:20, the investigation team received a report of suspects illegally cutting telephone cables at the entrance of a company in Ban Mai Subdistrict, Mueang District, Pathum Thani Province. The team reviewed CCTV footage and conducted inquiries, learning the perpetrators were four men using motorcycles to commit the crime. They then pursued the case, gathered evidence, and obtained arrest warrants from the Pathum Thani Provincial Court.
Later, on the evening of 19 Feb 2026 GMT+7, the investigation team arrested Mr. Kritphat Chayawattapokim, 31, and Mr. Triwit Srimontha, 24, along with seized evidence, at a vacant area along a public road in Bang Rak Yai Subdistrict, Bang Bua Thong District, Nonthaburi Province. They were brought in for interrogation and further investigation. The seized items included stripped communication cables, cutting tools, a wire stripper, and a white Honda motorcycle used in the crime.
Initially, during questioning, the two suspects confessed to collaborating with two others who remain at large in cutting telephone cables at the company's entrance. Regarding reports of gunfire aimed at a security guard who tried to chase them away, they denied this, insisting the noise was from firecrackers they lit and threw on the ground to make the guard believe gunshots were fired, hoping to deter pursuit.
Following this, the investigation team handed the suspects and evidence over to the Pak Khlong Rangsit police for legal proceedings. Of the other two accomplices, one has been arrested by metropolitan police on drug charges and will be transferred accordingly, while the other remains at large and is being actively pursued.
