She was charged with human trafficking by procuring, sending, detaining, or housing minors to exploit them through prostitution, specifically involving individuals over 15 but under 18 years of age. The arrest occurred in front of the Nanduk Karaoke bar in Khok Ma Subdistrict, Prakhon Chai District, Buriram Province.
The arrest followed investigations by Division 3 of the Anti-Human Trafficking Police into human trafficking in Buriram Province, which uncovered that the karaoke bar employed Ms. Ae (alias), 17 years old, as a drink server. Additionally, the bar covertly offered sexual services to customers.
Investigations revealed that the owner deducted brokerage fees from the girls’ earnings, exploiting minors under 18 through prostitution. Evidence was gathered to obtain a court warrant before arresting the suspect while she was operating the bar as usual.
Authorities also found two other girls inside the bar: Ms. Noon (alias), 17, and Ms. Ning (alias), 15. They were rescued and handed over to the Buriram Provincial Social Development and Human Security Office for victim identification and assistance to protect their rights and provide psychological rehabilitation during the investigation.
