"Suea Dusit," driven by intense jealousy, admitted to using excessive force by leading a group to beat a 55-year-old man, breaking 12 ribs and causing lung hemorrhage, leaving him in a coma. He claimed the victim groped his girlfriend. The incident was clearly recorded on CCTV. The victim's daughter vowed to pursue legal action to the fullest extent.
At 12:00 on 25 Feb 2026 GMT+7, at Rattanathibet Police Station, Nonthaburi Province, Miss Pemika Khwansamakhom, 26, daughter of the injured Mr. Thanapon Wekavakyannon, 55, arrived with lawyer Waiyakara Pinthong to seek assistance from Poramet Chaipatcharakulpong, aka "Dr. Kaew," founder of the page "Dr. Kaew Can Help." They then filed a complaint with Sub-Lieutenant Peerawit Srisamran, deputy investigator, to press charges against Mr. Samrit Rimthuean, known as "Suea Dusit," and two others after the victim was brutally beaten around 04:30 at a popular restaurant near Sanambin Nam, Nonthaburi. CCTV clearly recorded the event.
Mr. Jeerasak, 40, an employee of the victim who witnessed the event, said that around 03:00, he, Mr. Thanapon, and 3-4 friends were dining at the restaurant. At the same time, "Suea Dusit" and about three others, including a woman, arrived. Neither group knew each other. The woman approached Mr. Thanapon normally, which Jeerasak assumed was a casual acquaintance. However, "Suea Dusit" showed jealousy and said, "She's my girlfriend." Mr. Thanapon replied, "Nothing, just talking.""Just casually."Then "Suea Dusit" and the woman briefly argued before separating.
Around 04:30, Mr. Thanapon stepped outside to smoke near the restroom when "Suea Dusit" suddenly attacked him with punches. Two others joined in, beating him until he collapsed, as seen on CCTV. Jeerasak was unaware until the restaurant owner informed him of the assault. The owner and security intervened, separating the groups and escorting "Suea Dusit" and his associates out. Jeerasak then immediately took the injured man to the hospital, noting his face was covered in blood and his head severely swollen.
Jeerasak confirmed there had been no prior conflict between the two parties and no argument during the meal. The only issue was the woman greeting Mr. Thanapon. He doubted "Suea Dusit's" claim that Mr. Thanapon groped the woman, believing it untrue since the victim is calm, non-aggressive, and well-mannered. During the incident, "Suea Dusit" provocatively said, "Call the police if you want. I'm not afraid of anyone in Nonthaburi. Call them; I'll wait." Jeerasak viewed this as violent and brazen behavior, describing the attack as a 3-to-1 assault that could have been fatal without intervention.
Dr. Kaew revealed he received the complaint and accompanied the victim to report the incident at Rattanathibet Police Station. He coordinated for thorough questioning and filing all related charges. He affirmed that the Nonthaburi police are not intimidated by influential individuals and will swiftly bring the perpetrators to justice to ensure fairness for the victim.
Miss Pemika, the victim's daughter, tearfully shared that her father remains in a coma in the ICU, requiring a ventilator, and his condition is critical. She learned of the incident at noon from a friend’s call and rushed to the hospital. She stated she does not personally know "Suea Dusit" and does not believe her father acted inappropriately as alleged, describing him as quiet, gentle, kind, and non-violent. She vowed to pursue the case fully, undeterred by the suspect's notoriety, emphasizing that everyone is subject to the law.
Lawyer Waiyakara Pinthong stated the victim’s injuries are severe, including about 12 broken ribs, a punctured lung, liver and kidney damage, and inability to breathe unassisted, requiring mechanical ventilation. Initially, the case falls under serious bodily harm per Penal Code Section 297. Whether it constitutes attempted murder depends on further investigation. The lawyer confirmed all charges will be filed and stressed that no one is above the law. He trusts Rattanathibet police will handle the case fairly and justly.
Police Colonel Prut Chamrunasat, superintendent of Rattanathibet Police Station, Nonthaburi, stated they have been aware of the assault since it occurred and have completed initial witness interviews. Additional witnesses will be questioned on 26 and 27 Feb. The suspect has voluntarily presented himself to investigators. Police await medical confirmation before filing charges. If the suspect does not cooperate, an arrest warrant will be issued. The number of accomplices is still being verified through CCTV. Authorities confirmed all involved will be prosecuted.
The preliminary cause is alleged harassment of a woman by the suspect, but details remain under investigation and cannot be disclosed yet. Police are closely monitoring the victim's condition, who remains hospitalized. The investigation proceeds under legal conditions, promising justice based on available evidence.
The victim's daughter posteda video of the incident, capturing the moment her father was assaulted, with the caption stating "Please seek justice for my father.
His condition is critical with 12 broken ribs, blood clots in his lungs, and he has been in the ICU for several days. Today, he briefly stopped breathing, until the hospital revived him, requiring close monitoring. The incident began when my father visited a restaurant,
and a woman, greeted him as an acquaintance, nothing more. Soon after, a man known as "Suea Dusit," a social media figure familiar to many, approached my father claiming the woman was his girlfriend. My father explained there was nothing between them, "just casual." Later, my father went outside to smoke and was attacked by "Suea Dusit" and two others, as shown in the video. They claimed my father had groped their girlfriend, (grabbed her buttocks), which the restaurant's CCTV disproves. My father is 55 years old and suffered this attack. We do not know if he will recover fully.
After beating him, "Suea Dusit" said, "In Nonthaburi, I fear no one, not even the police." Several witnesses heard this. Afterward, "Suea Dusit" left. My father’s friends then took him to the hospital. Initially, no one dared report the incident because "Suea Dusit" threatened further violence if police were involved. He arrived at the hospital around 5 a.m. The medical certificate shows 12 broken ribs, lung hemorrhage and puncture, and damage to the spleen and kidneys. It’s severe. We have filed a complaint, yet no action has been taken,
and no arrest warrant issued despite strong evidence.
I ask everyone on social media to help seek justice for my family. My father's condition is very poor, and work has stopped. I’m just an ordinary young person, with no connections or influential contacts. I don’t know what else to do. Please, I ask for your help."
Recently, "Suea Dusit" shared the victim’s daughter’s post with a message saying "I admit I acted excessively. I have tried to contact the victim in every way to take responsibility. I have received the summons. The police scheduled another meeting for 9 March due to jealousy causing me to lose control."
