Wife Conspires with Husband’s Close Associate to Bomb Husband’s Mistress’s Car Miraculously Survives as Only One of Four Bombs Detonates

A wife caught her husband having an affair and conspired with his close male friend to secretly plant four bombs under the mistress’s car. Luckily, only one bomb detonated, allowing the woman to miraculously survive. Police tracked down and arrested all suspects, who confessed and provided useful information about the case.

On the morning of 24 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Lieutenant Colonel Supornchai Chuaykaew, Deputy Inspector (Investigation) of Don Hua Lo Police Station, received a report of a bomb discovered under a car on Don Hua Lo-Sattapong Road, Village No. 6, Don Hua Lo Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chonburi Province. He went to investigate with Police Colonel Patthana Ropru, Chief of Don Hua Lo Police Station, Police Lieutenant Colonel Sakchai Phoolpipat, Detective Inspector, and the investigative team.

At the scene, officers found a black Toyota Altis sedan registered in Rayong, with the driver, Ms. A (alias), 29, standing in shock. Initial examination revealed the devices were four homemade incendiary bombs placed under the fuel tank; one had exploded while three remained intact. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team and Forensics Center 2 of Chonburi conducted a detailed inspection, finding two bombs contained black powder and one contained gasoline. The bombs were remote-controlled. If all four had detonated simultaneously, they would have caused a severe fire and blast, risking lives and property. The circumstances suggest the attackers intended to kill the driver.

Later, Pol. Lt. Gen. Chatchai Surachetphong, Commander of Region 2 Police, assigned Deputy Commander Pol. Maj. Gen. Chokchai Ngamwong to oversee the case and instructed Police Colonel Patthana Ropru, Chief of Don Hua Lo Police Station, to intensify the investigation with the Don Hua Lo Police and Chonburi detectives to identify the perpetrators promptly.

At 14:00 on 25 Feb 2026 GMT+7, outside the Region 2 Police Headquarters, Pol. Lt. Gen. Chatchai Surachetphong, Deputy Commander Pol. Maj. Gen. Chokchai Ngamwong, Commander of Chonburi Provincial Police Pol. Maj. Gen. Pongpan Wongmanithets, Police Colonel Patthana Ropru, and forensic officers held a press conference presenting evidence. Pol. Lt. Gen. Chatchai stated that investigations, including CCTV footage, GPS tracking from the suspect vehicle, other evidence, and forensic analysis, led to arrest warrants issued by Chonburi Provincial Court for three suspects: Ms. Kasama Donmon, 38; Mr. Somkid Prompitak, 34; and Mr. Tinwat Piapukiew, 34. They were charged with premeditated attempted murder, causing explosions endangering persons or property, and possession of explosives without authorization.

Don Hua Lo Police investigators cooperated with police from Mueang Chonburi, Bo Win, Sattahip, and Pluak Daeng stations to conduct coordinated raids at four locations in Chonburi and Rayong provinces, arresting all three suspects named in the warrants.

During searches, authorities seized extensive evidence, including three vehicles used in the crime: a white Nissan Kicks registered in Bangkok, driven by Mr. Tinwat who followed the target to detonate the bomb.

A white Nissan Almera sedan registered in Bangkok, rented for the bombing day. On the day of the bombing, it bore Rayong license plates instead. Ms. Kasama had rented this car from a rental agency.

. A white BYD sedan registered in Bangkok, equipped with fake license plates used for disguise. Mr. Tinwat switched the plates and parked the car, which Ms. Kasama later retrieved. Police also found the remote control bomb detonator, tracking devices, and over 20 other pieces of evidence used in prosecution.

During arrest and interrogation, all three suspects confessed, providing information consistent with the investigation and evidence. Ms. Kasama admitted purchasing a GPS device to secretly track the victim's car, with Mr. Tinwat installing it. She also admitted testing the homemade bombs with Mr. Somkid in a cassava field. She and Mr. Somkid rented the bomb vehicle on 22 Dec 2025 GMT+7, and on 23 Dec 2025 GMT+7, they installed the bombs under the car. On 24 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Ms. Kasama instructed Mr. Tinwat to drive the car with altered license plates to the attack site and detonate the bombs remotely.

Mr. Somkid admitted procuring bomb components, paying via bank transfer, and assembling the bombs himself after learning from YouTube videos. His confession aligned closely with Ms. Kasama’s statements.

Mr. Tinwat admitted secretly installing the GPS device on the victim’s car twice under Ms. Kasama’s orders, monitoring the GPS signals before and on the bombing day via mobile phone. He also confirmed driving the bomb vehicle on the attack day and remotely detonating the bomb before fleeing.

In-depth interrogation revealed that Ms. Kasama learned her husband, Mr. Ek (alias), was having an affair with the victim, Ms. A. Angered, she conspired with her supervisor, Mr. Tinwat, and a close male friend to plan the bombing. They had Mr. Somkid order bomb parts using Ms. Kasama’s name but had them delivered to Mr. Somkid, who assembled and tested the bombs before the actual attack.
